Four stackable X-line dining/conservatory chairs, each chair composed of polished steel base and cream painted perforated metal sheet seats and backs (designed in 1977). 

Niels Jørgen Haugesen (b.1936) as trained as a cabinet maker and in the 1950s.  In 1961 Haugesen graduated from the Danish School of Arts, Crafts and Design and was employed by Arne Jacobsen (1966 - 71).  In 1971 he opened his own design studio.

Haugesen said “If you cannot create functional furniture then you had better turn your hand to something else.”  These design classic chairs are clearly defined by form, function and usability.
