Two early birch and birch plywood chairs designed by Robin Day in the late 1940s/early 1950s which are very similar to the 'Stamford' model, the curved plywood back and arm element, with vinyl upholstered seat, above tapered legs. There is a paper label on underside of seat: 'Designed by Robin Day No. 006732'. Simplicity of form and elegant functional post-war design.
